Be it resolved by the Ctty Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa:
That whereas, the City Council has this day ordered the construction of
cement sidewalks along the following described streets in the City of
Waterloo , Iowa, to-wit:-

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the City Council, that the city clerk
be and he is hereby directed to advertise for bids and proposals for the
doing of said work in accordance with Section No. 813 of the Code. The
t foropening said bids and proposals to be on the 9 9� dayofalicrw,A4

1918, at 7 .30 o'clock P.I . That said improvements ahll be paid for when the
work is completed and accepted by the city council by the issuance of
certificates to the contractor for the amount thereof against a fund to be
derived from a tax to be levied under Sections 779 and 841 of the Code, as
amended by Chapter 30 of the acts and resolutions of the 30th General Assemb-
ly. The right is reserved by the city to deduct from said list any of said wt
walks before the contract is let for the construction thereof. The city •
also reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
