Whereas , The } nights of Columbus have this day generously
tendered to the City of Waterloo the use of their club rooms, located
on the second and third floors of the H. Y. Reed building, located
at Nos. 616-618-620 ',:i.camore street for use as a detention hospital
for the care of patients suffering from Spanish or Epidemic Influenza,
Now therefore
Be it resolved by the Board of Health of the City of Waterloo ,
Iowa, That we , as the Board of Health of the `#ity of Waterloo , Iowa,
hereby accept the offer of the Xnisr,hts of Columbus , and be it further
Resolved , That Dr. D. C. Huntoon, city health officer, and
Mayor Thompson are hereby directed to provide nurses and to take
the necessary steps to equip said building for use as a de/tention
hospital , and to cause the patients now under treatment at Memorial
Hall to be removed to said hospital when in their opinion it is
safe so to do.
