Vaughan street from the center line of Beck avenue to the center line of Rock Island avenue to be 12 inches in diameter. • Rock Island avenue from the center line of Vaughan street to the center line of the alley between Cleveland street and Knoll avenue to be 12 inches in diameter. Rock Island avenue from the cen- ter line of the alley between Cleve- : land street and Knoll avenue to the center line of Magnolia ParkV ayr-- be 10 inches in diameter. Said sewers to be constructed of standard vitrified sewer pipe or of con- crete sewer pipe. Said sewer pipe to be laid in conformity with existing grades where already established or to grades • to be established by the city council of said city. Manholes are to be placed along said sewer as shown by the plans and specifications for said work. All of said work to be done in accord- ance with the plans and specifications therefore to be prepared by the city engineer of said city and filed in the office of the city clerk of said city. The cost of constructing said sewers shall be paid when the work is com- pleted and accepted by the city coun- cil by sewer certificates issued to the contractor against the property abut- ting on such sewers in proportion to the number of lineal front feet of each parcel thereof, and sewer certificates . shall also be issued to the contractor against property abutting and adja- cent thereto which is designated and consisting of the following described a property: to-wit: Lots 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32. 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41 and 42 inclusive, in which block the Edison school build- ing is now located and which lots are b ,-•, •owned by the Independent School Dis- ,: ; ..1,t tt. �.,,��t, 0 �;r.11,--. ,j;,-?; • ?) trict of West Waterloo all in Galloway*. '" , hich certificates herein referred to %hall be accepted by the contractor in full payment for said work. The contractor is to be required to give bond to the city of Waterloo, • Iowa, in the sum of one-third of the cost of said sewers with approved • surety or sureties as a guaranty that he will properly construct and carry out said work and faithfully perform -all of the terms and conditions of his contract.
