Be It Resolved by the City Counsil of the City of Waterloc„Iowa:
That whereas, it is deemed advisable and necessary to take down
and remove the steel truss bridge now located over the cedar River
at the Whitney-lan Couci road on the West bank thereof and Conger
street on the Fast bank thereof:in the City of WaterloolIowajand to
erect and construct a reinforced concrete arched bridge Mit#Apin
the place thereof,and,
Whereas,the City Engineer has prepared and filed in the office
of t r1-eerre-,-spectzfel-erat-i-on-ee--e of takin6
down and removing the steel truss bridge now located over the Cedar
River at the mhitney-gan Scud Road on the West bank thereof and
Conger street on the East bank thereof, in the City of Waterloo,Towa,
and for the erection and construction of a reinforced concrete arched
bridge in the place thereof,which plans„specifications and estimates
have been approved by the City Council of the City of Taterlco,Iowal
now„thereforel
Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa,that it be ancl it is hereby ordered that the steel truss
bridge now located over the Cedar River at the Whitney an Souci
Road on the West bank thereof and Conger street on the East bank
thereof,in the City of Taterloo„Towalbe taken down and removed,and
that there be erected and constructed in the place thereof a rein-

forced- concrete arched btidgeiftaid work to be done in accordance
with the plans and specifications therefcr,prepared by the City
Engineer,filed in the office of the City Clerk and approved by this
council by resolution No. 44 on the 24th. :day of rebruary,
I9I9,or that said work toe done by alternate plans which the said
Council will consider and which plans are to be submitted witn the
bids of various bidders upon 13aid emrk.
