Be it Resolved by the City Council
i of the city of Waterloo, Iowa, that the
advisability and necessity of construct-
tug certain sewers along the following
described streets in the City of 'Water-
loo, Iowa, is hereby declared and direct-
ed:
Commercial street from the end of
the 12 inch sewer at the Chicago, Rock
1 Island & Pacific Railroad Companl's'
Freight Belt line track to the North-
westerly line of Schley street, as va-
cated, to be 12 inches in diameter.

Said sewers to be constructed of
standard vitrified sewer pipe or con-
crete sewer pipe; said sewer pipe to be
• laid in conformity with existing grades
where already established or to grades
to he established by the city council
of said city. Manholes are to be placed
along said sewer as shown rd work.

fore to be prepared by the city engin-
eer of said city and filed in the office
of the city clerk of said city.
The cost of constructing said sewers i
shall be paid when the wor}t is complet-
ed
and accepted by the city council by
sewer -certificates issued to the con-
tractor against the property abutting
on such sewers in proportion to the
number of lineal front feet of each
parcel of ground thereof, which certifi-
cates shall be accepted by the contract-
or in full payment of said work. .
The contractor is to he required to
give bond to the city of Waterloo. Iowa,
in the sum of one-third of the cost of
said sewers with approved surety or
sureties as a guaranty that he will
properly construct and "carry- out said
work and faithfully perform all of the
terms and conditions of his contract.
