RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK—Cont .

WHEREAS on the 4th day of June , 1923, the Bryant Paving
Company entered into a contract N ith the City of Waterloo , Iowa,
for the construction of improvements by resurfacing the old brick
and asphalt pavement with sheet asphalt, on the following streets
in said city to-wit :
West Fourth street from the s outhwe,;t line of '.ellir. ton
street to the southwest line of :lien street .
Sycamore street from the soutreat line of Seventh street
to the Illinois Central Jelt Line ;
East Eleventh street from the Eleventh street bride e to
the southwe ,,t line of Sycamore street .
Logan avenue from the north line of '+alnut street to the
south line of argyle street.
Logan avenue from the north line of Lane street to the
Illinois Centra ilailroad track right of way except new paving on
Virden Creek bridge, which contract was duly approved by the Council
on the 13th day of June , 1923; and
WHEREAS the City Engineer has filed with the City Clerk on
the �-r ; � Y�.1923, a report certifying that the Bryant Paving
Company has fully completes tine construction of said improvements
in accordance with the plans and specifications aria contract , •
NOW''. THEREFORE, 3e It Resolved by the City Council of the
Cit , of Waterloo , Iowa , that the report of the City Engineer be and
the same is hereby approved and adopted ; that the improvement above
described was constructed_ under and by virtue of said contract and
plans and specifications, for the same; and t r}at the total cost of
said improvement is here,3y determined to be 4 4 1
as shown in. said Engineer' s report .
BE IT FURT}M1R RESOLVED by said City Council that said
Engineer is hereby instructed and directed to prepare a plat and
schedule of the property benefited by said improvement showing the
separate lots and parcels of ground , or parts thereof, subject to

assessment for the cost and expenses of the construction of said im-
provement together with the names of the owners thereof as far as
practicable, and the anour_t assessable by law and the resolutions of
this Council against each lot or parcel of ground abuttirzr on or ad-
jacent to said improvement and against any railway or street railway
whose tracks, station grounds or right of way are located thereon,
abut thereon or are adjacent thereto , which plat and schedule when
completed shall be filed in tr_e office of the City Clerk, said ad-
jacent property to be and include the property half the distance to
the next ,_..treet but Yiot exceeding three hundred feet from the in-
provement.
Passed and adopted this l ah day of September, 1923 .
