WF ?REAS the improvement heretofor ordered on
West Fourth street from the southwest line of Wellington
street to the southwest line of Allen street .
Sycamore street from the southeast l iaze of Seventh street
to the Illinois Central Belt line .
East Eleventh street from the Eleventh street Bridge to the
southwe..,t line of Sycamore street .
Logan avenue from t Lie north lice of Walnut street to the
south line of Argyle street .
Lori avenue from the north line of Lane street to the
Illinois Central Ra lroad track right of way except new paving on
Virden Creek Bridge.
Said improvement consisting of resurfacing of leaviziag old
brick and asphalt pavement with sheet asphalt paving as set out in.
resolution of necessity No. 5379 which is by reference node a part
hereof and constructed under a contract with the Bryant aviy:g Com-
pany of Waterloo , Iowa, dated tie 4tn day of June, 1923, nas been
comply ted and was on the 13th day of June approved and accepted by
the City Council of said. City; and
WHEREAS in accordance with the order and direction of this
Counc it there have been prepared and placed on file in the office of
the City Clerk of said City a plat and schedule showing assessments
proposes to be made for the cost and expenses of said i_:.provement
against the property abutting upon or adjacent to the same, ( anc'. the
railways and street ra il7ays whose tracks, station grounds or ri zhts
of way are located thereon, abut t hereon or are adjacent thereto )
which plat and schedule have been prepared in accordance with the pro-
visions of section 821 of the Code of Iowa ; and
WHEEAS, the assessment shown on said schedule seem to be
-proper assesments to be made for and on account of the cost and ex-
penses of said improvement;

NOW.! T-i RE 0RE, Be It Resolved by the Council of the City
of Waterloo, Io}xa , that the City Cl' rk be and he is hereby instruc-
ted to give notice by two publications each in the Waterloo evening
Courier , and the i. aterloo Tribune , newspapers of general circulation
published in said City and by ha . bills posted in conspicuous places
along the line of said improvement , that said plat and schedule are
now on file in hip office and that wtb.hin twenty days after the first
publication of said notice all objections thereto, or to the prior
proceedings , on account of errors, irregularities or inequalities,
must be made in writing and_ filea with the said City Clerk.
That t is Council will meet after the expiration of said
twenty days and consider any objections which may be filed and after
making any correction found necessary, will then mare the special
assessments as shown in said plat and schedule as corrected and.
pproved .
