RESCINDING THAT PART OF RESOLUTION NO. 5351, PROVIDING FOR PAVING
ON BERTCH AVENUE AND FOR REMODELING OF ITTe]iSECTION CURBS.
WHEREAS this Council did on the 7th day of Larch 1923
pass a certain Resolution Numbered 5351, orLariug the construction
of certain street improvements and directing the edvertiseelent for
bidstherefor.
Jr) WHEREAS bids were accepted as directed in said Resolution
and a contract entered into on the 27th day of Larch, 1923 by and
between the Bryant Paving Company, Waterloo , Iowa, Contractors and
the City of Waterloo, Iowa, for the construction of all of the said
improvements as described in said Resolution No. 5351, excepting that
by mutual consent of this Council and the Bryant Paving Company, the
improvement of Bertch Ave" and the remodeling of intersection curbs
was not included in the contract as awarded.
NOW THERC&ORE BE IT lasso:I-mu by the Council of th:, (2i . of
Waterloo, Iowa that that part of Resolution No. 535141) ; for the
improvement of :Bertch Avenue, which reads as follows: pJgi

"Bertch Avenue from the west line of 9th St. ,

Avenue;
from the west line of western Avenue to the east line of
Baltimore Street Aea. width of 2/1 ft . ,"
8nd that part providing for the remodeling the intersection
curbs at certain corners, which reads as follow;: -
"That it is also deemed necessary and advisable to remodel
, the intersection curbs at certain corners in the City of iaterloo, Ie"
'# that the ourbing and guttering at the intersections so remodeled shall
be constructed in accordance 7ith one of the methods heretofore men-

tioned for curbing and guttering. That said intersections shall be
remodeled by increasing the radius thereof, and by removing the curb-
ing Pt the following corners and street intersections in. the City of
Waterloo , Tow , -__„Itle-T from the center of the street in order to
more roadway;

All corners of Commercial Street and hullan Avenue.
Southwest corner of Oregon Street and Bertch Avenue.
Northeast corner of Forest Avenue and Oregon Street.
Northeast corner of Eleventh Street and Bertch Avenue.
East corners of Riehl Street and Burton Avenue.
West corners of Conger Street and Burton Avenue.
West corners of Logan Avenue and Riehl Street.
Southwest corner of Westfield Avenue and Duryea Street.
Southeast corner of Ninth Street and Johnson Street.
South corners of Falls Avenue and Belmont Avenue.
North corners of illiston Avenue and West Fifth Street,

Southwest corners of East Fifth Street anel "alnut Street,
North corner of Franklin Street and Logan Avenue.

AND BE IT KIRTFER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is
hereby ordered an directed to certify to the County Auditor of Black
Hawk County a copy of this Resolution. .
