RESOLUTION ORDERING UNDERGROUND CONNECTIOYS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
aid on the 27th day of August, 1923, adopt a resolution ordering the
permanent improvement of the following streets and avenues and parts
of streets and avenues in said city, to-wit :
Pave that part of E4st Park Avenue from the northeast line of Mulberry
Street to the southwest line of Walnut Street, which is now occupied
by center parking and unpaved.
Resurface that part ofpast Park Avenue which is now paved from the
northeast line of Mulberry Street to the southwest line of Franklin
Street,
Pave West Second Street from the northwest line of Commercial Street
to the notheast curb line of Cedar Street , width of 30 ft . ,
Resurface Washington Street from the northwest line of rest ifinth I
/street to the end of the present paving at IEJleventh Street, /
By grading, curbing, resurfacing, paving and guttering the
same ; and
Whereas, it is necessary and advisable that all underground
connections in said streets and avenues and parts of streets and.
avenues be made up to the curb line before such premanent improvements i

are installed." to the end that 'each imp-rovements may be kept intact \
and unbroken: \
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT .Ps3WLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WATER14,01 IOWA, that the connections from gas, water, steam heating
pipes, sewer and underground electric coiinectt to the curb line
of the property adjacent to said proposed street improvements hereto-
fore mentioned •be made within 15 days from the adoption of this
resolution, according to the plans and specifications of the City
Engineer; and in case such connections are not made within such time
by the property owners, then the said City Ingineer is hereby directed
• to have said connections made and certify the cost thereof to the
City Council , and the cost E it expenses thereof shall bo assessed

against the property in front of which they are made; and the City
Clerk is hereby directed to give written notice hereof, r- s fc.r
to all -oroperty owners affected hereby, and to publish
such notice in one issue of the Waterloo Evening Courier and the
Waterloo Tribune, newspapers of general circulation published in
said city.
