i AEING ASSESSMENTS FOR PAVI-NG S'1EEETS UNDER
CONTRACT NO, 16
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of waterloo ,
Iowan
That after full consideration of the schedule of assessments
and the accompanying plat showing the assessments proposed to be
made for the cost and expenses of construction of Street Improvements
by resurfacing the old brick and asphalt pavement with sheet asphalt pav-
ing consisting of a 1-inch binder course, l*-inches sheet asphalt wear-
ing sufface , Class "C" Bermudez Lake asphalt upon the following streets,
to-wit: ----
West Fourth Street from the Southwest line of
Wellington -Street to the Southwest line of
Allen Street ;
Sycamore Street from the Southeast line of Seventh
Street to the Illinois Central Belt Line;
East Eleventh Street from the Eleventh Street
Bridge to the Southwest line of Sycamore Street ;
Logan Avenue from the North Line of Walnut Street
to the South Line of Argyle Street ,
Logan Avenue from the North line of Dane Street
to the Illinois Central Railroad Track right of
way except new paving on Virden Creek bridge.
Which said plat and schedule were filed in the Office of
- the City Clerk on the 13th day of September, 1923, of the filing of
which notice has been published and posted as required by law and
the order of this Council, and of the objection to the assessment shown
therein, filed by I. M. Kentzelman, and
That after full consideration, appraisement and apportion-
ment of the special benefits conferred upon the property in said
sehedule and plat of the said improvement, this Council finds that
the said property is specially benefited by the said improvement in
the amounts shown in said schedule, and that the said amounts are
in proportion to the special benefits conferred upon the property by
the said improvement , and are not in excess of such benefits, and are
not in excess of twenty-five per cent of the actual value of the

Be it further resolved , that the said schedule of assess-
ments and the accompanying plat , be and the same are hereby approved;
and that there be and hereby. is assessed and levied as a special
tax and assessment against Mad upon each of the lots , parts of lots
and parcels of real estate , and the owner or owners thereof liable
to assessment for the cost and expenses of the said improvement -
( and the real estate and personal property of the railway and street
railway companies shown therein) shown in said schedule, the respective
sums expressed in figures ;set opposite to each of the same , on account
of the cost and expenses of the construction of the said improvement ,
and said assessments against said lots, parts of lots and parcels of
real estate are hereby declared to be in proportion to the special
benefits conferred upon said property by said improvement , and not in
excess thereof, and not in excess of twnety-five per cent of the actual
value of the same,
