RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK -- Contract #14
WHEREAS on the 27th day of March, 1923, the Bryant Paving Company
entered into a contract with the City of Waterloo, Iowa, for the construecion of street improvements by paving on the following streets in said
city
to—wit
West Fourth Street from the and of the present paving to the
the city limits, a width of 24 ft. ,
Moir Street from the north line of Reber Avenue to the north line
of Lot 21, Block 3, Prospect Heights Addition.
Summit Avenue from the east line of Moir Street to the West line
of Sullivan Street, a width of 24 ft. ,
Sullivan Street from the north line of Summit Avenue to the north
line of West Second Street , a width of 24 ft. ,
Baltimore Street from the south line of Eureka Street to a point
140 feet south of the south line of Mitchell Avenue, a width of 24 ft. ,
grant Avenue from the southeast line of West Eighth street to the
northwest line of Ninth Street; also from the southeast line of Ninth Street
to the west curb line of Hammond_ Avenue, a width of 24 ft . ,
Randolph Street from the southeast line of West Ninth Street to
the north line of Grant Avenue, a width of 24 ft.,
Wellington Street from the southeast line of 'Alest Niith Street to
the west line of Randolph Street, a width of 24 ft. ,
Maryland Avenue from the northeast line of Frederic Avenue to the
west line of Lovejoy Avenue, a width of 24 ft . ,
Burton Avenue from the north lino of Park Drive to the end of the
Present paving near the W. O . P. & N. Ey. , a width of 24 ft . ,
Broadway Street across the intersection of Parker breet , a width
of 7 ft . , in the center of the street.
Broadway Street from a point 52 ft . , south of the south line of
Conger Street to the north line of Riehl Street , a width of 7 ft. , in the
center of the street .
Center Street , a strip in front of Lot 21 , Block 3 , Ricker &
Bratnober Land Company Addition between the two tracks of the W. G. F. & N.
R. R. , a width of 40 ft. ,

Columbia Street from the south line of Riehl Street to the north
line of Conger Street, a width of 24 ft. ,
Cutler Street from the north line of Riehl Street to the South
line of Parker Street, a width of 24 ft. ,
Kern Street from the east line of Cutler Street to the west line
of Logan Avenue, a width of 24 ft. ,
Webster Street from the west line of Fourth Street to the east
line of Logan Avenue, a width of 24 ft.
:Elm Street from the south line of Independence Avenue to the
north line of Cortlandt Street; from the south line of Cortlandt Street
to the north line of Fowler Street; from the south line of Fowler Street
to the north line of Franklin Street; from the south line of Franklin
Street to the north line of Lafayette Street; from the south line of
Lafayette Street to the north line of Sycamore Street; from the south
line of Sycamore Street to the north line of the I. C. R. R. , freight
line right of way on Water Street, a width of 30 ft . ,
Mohwak Street from the north line of Independence Avenue to the
south line of Glenwood Street, a width of 24 ft . ,
Glenwood Street from the west line of Cherry Street to the west
.right of way line of the I. Co R. R. , a width of 20 ft. , from the west
line of the I. 0 . R. R. right of way to the west curb line of Steely
Street , a width of 24 ft. ,
Cherry Street from the north line of Independence Avenue to the
north curb line of Glenwood Street., a width of 20 ft . ,
Independence Avenue from the west line of Idaho Street to the east
line of Idaho Street, which contract was duly approved by the Council
on the 27th day of March, 1923,
AND WHEREAS, The City Engineer has filed with the City Clerk on
the 20th day of October, 1923, a report certifying that the Bryant Paving
Company has fully completed the construction of said improvements in ac-
cordance with the plans and specifications and contract therefore:

Now Therefor, Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, that the report of the City Engineer be and the same
is hereby approved and adopted; that the improvement above described
was constructed under and by virtue of said contract and plans and
specifications, for the same; and that the total cost of said improve-
ment is hereby determined to be $155,653.69 as shown in said Engineer's
Report,
Be It Further Resolved by said City Council that said Engineer
is hereby instructed and directed to prepare a plat and schedule of the
property benefited by said improvement showing the separate lots and
parcels of ground, or parts thereof, subject to assessment for the cost
and expenses of the construction of said improvement together with the
names of the owners thereof as far as practicable, and the amount assess-
able by law and the resolutions of this Council against each lot or
parcel of ground abutting on or adjacent to said improvement and against
any railway or street railway whose tracks, station grounds or right of
way are located thereon, abut thereon or are adjacent thereto, which
plat and schedule when completed shall be filed in the office of the
City Clerk, said adjacent property to be and include the property half
the distance to the next street, but not exceeding three hundred feet
from the improvement.
