WHEREAS, the improvement heretofore ordered on the follow- ing streets and avenues and parts of streets and avenues in the City of Waterloo , Iowa, to-wit: construction of sidewalks on Sumner, Beech, and other streets in said city as follows: A 5' sidewalk on the west side of Boston street extending from the north line of Louise street to the south line of Lele Street . A 5' sidewalk on the east side of Longfellow Avenue extending from the north line of Kern Street to the south line of Parker Street. A 5'4" sidewalk on the northwest side of Sixth Street , extending from the southwest line of Commercial Street 120 ' southwest; also extending from the southwest line of the alley southwest of Jefferson Street to the northwest track of the C . G. W. R. H. Company. A 5' sidewalk on the north side of nook Island Avenue extending from the west line of Walgate avenue to the east line of Magnolia Avenue. A 5'4" sidewalk on the southwest Nice of South Street , extending from a point about 4' southeast of the southeast line of Fourth Street to a: point about 16' southeast of the southeast line of Fourth Street ; also extending from a point about 34. southeast of the southeast line of Fourth Street to a point - bout 127' southeast of the southeast li :-e of Fourth Street. A 5'4" sidewalk on the northwest side of Third Street, extending from the northeast line of Locust Street to the southwest line of the alley north- east of Locust Street. A 5'4" sidewalk on the southeast side of Third Street, extending from the southwest line of Vermont Street about 140' southwest. A 5'4" sidewalk on the southwest side of Western Avenue extending from the northwest line of Third Street about 60' northwest A 5'4" sidewalk on the northwest side of Third Street, extending from the northeast line of Baltimore Street to the southwest line of the alley north- east of Baltimore street A 5'4" sidewalk on the southwest side of Baltimore Street extending from the northwest line of Third Street about 120' northwest, said improvements consisting of construction of sidewalks , and constructed under a contract with Jens Oleson & Son, of Waterloo, Iowa, dated the 24th day of September, 1923, has been completed and was on the \ qriv, day of j 0 e r l ct G_ v , , 1923 approved and accepted by this Council, and iflEit:AS, in accordance with the order and direction of this Council there have been prepared and placed on file in the office of the City Clerk, a plat and schedule showing assessments proposed to be made for the cost and expenses of said improvement against the property abutting thereon, and the n-_mes of the owners thereof, as far as practicable, end the amount to be assessed against each lot or parcel of ground , which plat and schedule have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 821 of the Code of Iowa; and INTI REy_S, the assessments shown on said schedule seem to be proper assessments to be made for and on account of the cost and expenses of said improvement , now therefore, be it resolved, by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa , that the City Clerk be and he is hereby instructed to rive notice by two publications each in the Waterloo Evening Courier and the Waterloo Tribune, newspapers of general circulation published in said city, and by handbills posted in conspicuous places along the line of said improvement , that said plat and schedule are on file in his office, and teat within twenty days after the first publication of said notice all objections thereto, ar t.e- - r d ` c b e `b rete or to the prior proceedings, on account of errors, irregularities or inequalities, must be made in writing and filed with the said City Clerk. That the Council will meet after the expiration of said twenty days and consider any objections which may be filed, and after making any corrections found necessary, will then make The special assessments as shown in said plat and schedule as corrected and approved. WHEREAS by and under the direct ion o f the City Council of the City of 'W`Waterloo, Iowa , there has been prepared a schedule dr showing the assessments proposed to be made for and on account of the cost of construction of improvements by laying and putting in place underground sewer and water connections heretofore ordered by this Council , and where property owners failed to have said connections made, and WH- EAS the assessments shown on said schedule seem to be prop sr assessmentso be made for and on account o ' the cost and expenses of the said improvements , mit now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED B Y THE COUNCIL Of?
