HomeMy WebLinkAbout5531-12.10.1923 RESOLUTION NO. 5 ASSES'aivIENTS .i?OR LA YIly G CURB AND GUTTER ON BRAT SOBER STREET BE IT REsOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OP TTTh CITY OF WATERLOO, IO A; That after full consideration of the schedule of assess- ments and the accompanying plat showing the assessments proposed to be made for the cost and expenses of laying curb and gutter on the follow- ing street : towit : --- Brat :sober Street between Broadway and Fairview Avenue on both sides of the street . Which said plat and schedule were filed in the Office of the City Clerk on the J & d.ay of 4n,r,,.,,���� 1923, of the filing of which notice has been published and posted as required by law and the order of t hlis Council, and That after full consideration, appriasement and apportion- ment of the special benefits conferred upon the property in said schedule and plat of the said im provem__nt , this Council finds that the said pro- perty is specially benefited by the said improvement in the amounts shown in said schee ule, and that the said amounts are in pro portion to the special benefits conferred pon the property by the said improvement, and that not in excess of such benefits , and are not in excess of twenty-five per cent of the actual value of the lots, parts of lots and parcels of real estate sho-:Ywn in said sorted ule. BE IT FURTHER RESO aVI, that the said schedule of assess- ments and the accompanying plat, be and the same are hereby approved ; and that there be and hereon is assessed and levied as a special tax and assessment dgai .b.t and upon each of the lots, parts of lots and parcels of real estate , and the o7ner or owners the :eof liable to assessment for the cost and expenses of the said improvement - ( and the real estate and personal property of the railway and street railway companies shown therein) sal -. n in said sche ule, the respective sums expressed in figures set opposite to each of the same , on account of the cost and expenses of t-ie construction of the said improvement ; and. said assessments against said lots, parts of lots and parcels of real estate are hereby declared. 45<21 - 2 - to be in proportion to the special benefits conferred upon said property by said improvement, and not in excess thereof, and not in excess of twenty-five per cent of the c t ua I value of the same .
