IOWA:
That the Mayor and City Clem: of Waterloo, Iowa, be and they
are hereby authorized and directed to issue, execute and deliver Street
Improvement Bonds under the provisions of Chapter 8 , Title V, of the
Code of iowa, and acts amendatory and s uplemental thereto , for the ag-
gregate sum of 5682.96, to pay the cost of the construction of side-
walks which has already been assessed , according to law, against the
privately owned property abutting on certain carts of the following
streets in the city of Waterloo , Iowa, viz :
On the southside of Cei.ter, Lot 4 , Block 8, Ricker Brat-
nober Land Co. Add. , a width of five feet four inches .
On both sides of Avon Ave . , from i3onger Street to the main
tracks of the Q- railroad, a width of five feet.
on the west side of Jutler Street from Arlington Street to
r the alley south of the W.C .F. 3 N. Belt line , a width of five feet .
On the south side of Webster Street from the northeast line
of I.0 .R .R. right of way to the East line of Logan .Avenue, a width of
four feet.
On the no 'th side of Webster Street from the end of present
walk about 50' west of Ankeny Street west to Virden Creek Bridge, a
width of four feet .
On Loge__ Ave. , from extension of Center line of Edwards about
100 ' north , on the east side, a width of five feet four inches .
On Bratnober Street south side, in front of Lot 1, Block 13,
Ricker and Bratnober Add . , Land Co . , a width of five feet four inches.
On the north side of Park Road from Fairview Ave. , to alley
east of Fairview except a portion of old walk which is in ;good condition,
a width of five feet four inches.
On the south side of Edwards Street from a point about 50'

north, except walk now in, a width of five feet four inches .
On park Road from a point about 65 ' ncr thwest of angle in Lot
7 , Block 4, Krapfel and Place Bubdivision, to a point about 160' south-

On the north side of Arlington Street from the alley east

On the south side of Edwards Street , from a point about

Said bonds shall bear interest at the rate of six ( 6) per
cent per annum, payable annually, from the November 13th, 1922, an
said bonds shall be roistered as by law provided , and delivered to
the said A. G. picker, , for and. in part payment of work done under
said contract above statec�c� escribed.
The City of Waterloo assumes no other obligation in re -
gard to the payment of said bonds, except that sufficient valid as-
sessments have been made against private property along the line of
said improvements as provided by law, and to hold_ the proceeds from
such assessments for the payment of said bonds and the interest there-
on, and to apply the money received from said assessments in payment of
said bonds and interest and for no other purpose until said bonds and
the interest thereon are fully paid.
Said bonds shall be in form substantially as shown by Sec-
tion 843 of the Code of Iowa, be dated November 13th, 1:)22, payable
at the office of the City Treasurer of the City, of Waterloo , Iowa, and
said bonds, coupons and certificate of registrationxshall be in sub-
stantially the following form:

THE CITY OF 7ATaLO0, in the State of Iowa, promises to pay,
as hereinafte stated , to the bearer hereof, on the first day of

the sum of Dollars, with interest thereon at the rate
of six ( 6) per cent per annum, payable annually, on the presentation
and surrender of the interest coupons hereto attached . Both principal
and interest of this bond are payable at the office of the City Treas-
urer in Waterloo , Iowa.
This bond is issued by the City of Waterloo under and by
virtue of Chapter Eight , of Title Five of tie Code of Iowa , and the
Resolution of t eCit y Council of said City, duly passed on the 22nd
day of December , 1922.

Lagayette :tree':, reek, Vine, Cutler, Nevada, Vinton, Polk Streets and
various other streets located in the third and fourth ward as described
in Resolution No . 5239 , in said city, which cost is payable by the
assessable property s im rovement provided is p �,�, as },roviG ec ey law, and is made
by law and resolution of said City Council a lien on all said proper-
ty by special assessments payable in ten annual instalments , with
interest on all deferred oayments from November 13th, 1922 , at the
rate of six ( 6) percent pe r annum, and this bond is payable only out
of the street improvement fund creates_ by the collection cf said serial
tax, and said fund can be used for no other purpose. The right is re-
served by said City to ray this bond before maturity out o " said s :ec-
ial f uned upon giving thirty y d ay' s notice by LE. i1 to the owner in whose
name this bond is reistered of its intention so to do .
And it is hereby certified and recites that all the auts ,
cond itions and thus required to be done , precedent to and in the
issuing of thisseries of - happened
