That it is deemed advisable and necessary to improve
the hereinafter named streets and: avenues in the City of `waterloo ,
Iowe , by pavin and ,:.,--tittering the same , and: it is deemed advisable
and necessary for the benefit of the city as a whole to construct
such improvement anc to establish certain ix. ving c istricts as pro-

video for by sections 840-Toth inclusive of the 1915 Ou-oplemen-
tal Supplement to the "ode of Iova and Acts amendatory thereto .
That the following streets and avenues in said city
shall be improved by being paved and curb a gutter laid along the
side thereof for the length and for the width and from and between
the various points and termini as hereinafter set out:
Commercial street f rom tne nortne-ett line of Jest
jiourteentr street to the no rthwest line of Eighteenth street twenty-
four feet wide, and commercial street from the northwest line of
Ei hteenth street to t lie east cizr b l.i_ne o f la Porte Road eighteen
feet wide, and Laporte Road from the ,south •est curb line of Com-
mercial street to the City limits eighteen feet wide.

being eighteen feet wide.
The pavement on said street shall be constructed of
one or more of the following materials : sheet asphalt ; .Asphaltic
concrete ; Bit ulithic ; Tarvia ; Portland cement concrete s ingl e
course ; -ortlanc cement cony 'ete two course; Vibrolithic concrete
paving; vitrified brick block.
That the curb and gutter to be constructed on each side

of such Davement shall he of either Stand_arc or 0-s ce type or plain
oncrete curb.
That the above set out paving shall also incl,w e the
pavinc, of the intersections at all intersecti streets and alleys
along the streets to be paved .
'hat the City Council does hereby establish five pavin9r
districts under the provisions of the ile reinbefore mentioned Code sec-
tions , tree lot or tract:- of land in each of which shall be assessed

Oommencing at a Point in the center line of Commercial
street 150 feet northwest of the northwest line of ?ourteenth street;
running thence northeast to the center of the alley northeast of
Commercial street; thence along the center line of the alley north
east of Commercial street to the center line of LaPorte street;
thence south to the center line of iiiront street; thence east to a
point 300 feet east of t - e east line of Laporte street ; thence south
on a line parallel with and 300 feet east of the east line of the

That the cost and exoenses of raking and constructing
said improvements shall be assessed against and anon all the pri-
vately owned property in said paving districts end against the
property of railway anc street railway companies whose tracts, sta-
tion grounds or rirUhts of way are locates therein, as shown by the
plat marked xh;bit "A" and the schec ales ma reed Exhibit "B" both
