STATUS CODE DESCRIPTION
FAIL 1104.16.5.1 -Examination. Fire escape stairways and balconies shall be examined for structural adequacy and
safety in accordance with Section 1104.16.5 by a registered design professional or
others acceptable to the fire code official every 5 years,or as required by the fire
code official.An inspection report shall be submitted to the fire code official after
such examination.
Inspector:JEREMIAH VANDYKE-Comments: Report needed for fire escape stairs as
described above by registered engineer design professional.(Did discuss contacting
school that was there about any past reports for the fire escape.)
FAIL 1203.2.6-Exit signs. Emergency power shall be provided for exit signs as required in Section 1013.6.3.The
system shall be capable of powering the required load for a duration of not less than
90 minutes.

3 painted uprights in gym by stage165 degrees 1/2"uprights.(Scheduled to have
repaired by sprinkler contractor on April 11th.)
FAIL 509.1 -Identification. Fire protection equipment shall be identified in an approved manner.Rooms
containing controls for air-conditioning systems,sprinkler risers and valves,or other
fire detection,suppression or control elements fire protection systems shall be
identified for the use of the fire department.Approved signs required to identify fire
protection system equipment and equipment location shall be constructed of
durable materials, permanently installed and readily visible.

needed on door where sprinkler riser is located.
FAIL 603.5.2-Application and Relocatable power taps and current taps shall be directly connected to a
usePower supply. permanently installed receptacle. Exceptions:1.Where approved for use in a Group A
occupancy or in a meeting room in a Group B occupancy,not more than five
relocatable power taps shall be permitted to be connected together or connected to
an extension cord for temporary use to supply power to electronic equipment.2.
Current taps and relocatable power taps shall not be required to connect directly to
a permanently installed receptacle outlet where used for 90 days or less for the
purpose of testing the performance of such devices.

FAIL 603.6-Extension cords. Extension cords and flexible cordsshall not be a substitute for permanent wiring and
shall be listed and labeled in accordance with UL 817.Extension cords and flexible
cordsshall not be affixed to structures,extended through walls,ceilings or floors,or
under doors or floor coverings,nor shall such cords be subject to environmental
damage or physical impact.Extension cords shall be used only with portable
ti appliances. Extension cords marked for indoor use shall not be used outdoors.

FAIL 610.1.2-Maintenance. The lint trap,mechanical and heating components,and the exhaust duct system of a
clothes dryer shall be maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's operating
instructions to prevent the accumulation of lint or debris that prevents the exhaust
of air and products of combustion.
Inspector:JEREMIAH VANDYKE-Comments:ALL Clothes Dryer Exhaust Duct system
must be cleaned from the dryer to the outside DOCUMENTED by who and when
serviced.
FAIL 703.1 -Maintaining Materials and firestop systems used to protect membrane and through penetrations
protection. in fire-resistance-rated construction and construction installed to resist the passage
of smoke shall be maintained.The materials and firestop systems shall be securely
attached to or bonded to the construction being penetrated with no openings visible
through or into the cavity of the construction.Where the system design number is
known,the system shall be inspected to the listing criteria and manufacturer's
installation instructions.

manufacturer recommendations or removed.(Did discuss getting Harris Cleaning to
treat ALL stage curtains.)
