STATUS CODE DESCRIPTION
FAIL 102.4-Application of building The design and construction of new structures shall comply with the International
code. Building Code,and any alterations,additions,changes in use or changes in
structures required by this code,which are within the scope of the International
Building Code,shall be made in accordance therewith.

FAIL 305.1 -Clearance from Clearance between ignition sources,such as luminaires,heaters,flame-producing
ignition sources. devices and combustible materials,shall be maintained in an approved manner.
Inspector:JEFF SIEBEL-Comments:portable electric heaters operating near
combustibles.Remove heaters.
FAIL 3107.13-LP-gas. The storage,handling and use of LP-gas and LP-gas equipment shall be in accordance
with Sections 3107.13.1 through 3107.13.3.
Inspector:JEFF SIEBEL-Comments: Remove L.P.gas cylinders from building.Must be
stored outside chained in an upright position.
FAIL 505.1 -Address identification. New and existing buildings shall be provided with approved address identification.
The address identification shall be legible and placed in a position that is visible from
the street or road fronting the property.Address identification characters shall
contrast with their background.Address numbers shall be Arabic numbers or
alphabetical letters. Numbers shall not be spelled out. Each character shall be not
less than 4 inches(102 mm)high with a minimum stroke width of 1/2 inch(12.7 mm).
Where required by the fire code official,address identification shall be provided in
additional approved locations to facilitate emergency response.Where access is by
means of a private road and the building cannot be viewed from the public way,a
monument,pole or other sign or means shall be used to identify the structure.
Address identification shall be maintained.

FAIL 603.4-Working space and A working space of not Working space around electrical equipment shall be provided

volts.The minimum required working space shall be not less than 30 inches(762 mm)
in width,36 inches(914 mm)in depth and 78 inches(1981 mm)in height shall be
providedin front of electrical service equipment.Where the electrical service
equipment is wider than 30 inches(762 mm),the minimum working space shall be
not less than the width of the equipment.Storage of materials shall not be located
within the designated working space.Exceptions: 1.Where other dimensions are
required or allowed by NFPA 70.2.Access openings into attics or under-floor areas
that provide a minimum clear opening of 22 inches(559 mm)by 30 inches(762 mm).
Inspector:JEFF SIEBEL-Comments:Remove obstructions,Maintain a minimum of 36"
clearance to electrical panel and disconnects.
FAIL 603.6-Extension cords. Extension cords and flexible cordsshall not be a substitute for permanent wiring and
shall be listed and labeled in accordance with UL 817.Extension cords and flexible
cordsshall not be affixed to structures,extended through walls,ceilings or floors,or
under doors or floor coverings,nor shall such cords be subject to environmental
damage or physical impact. Extension cords shall be used only with portable
appliances.Extension cords marked for indoor use shall not be used outdoors.
Inspector:JEFF SIEBEL-Comments:remove all extension cords including to lights and
electric heaters. Install permanent lighting and outlets with permits and inspections.
FAIL 603.9.4-Prohibited areas. Portable,electric space heaters shall not be operated within 3 feet(914 mm)of any
combustible materials. Portable,electric space heaters shall be operated only in
locations for which they are listed.
Inspector:JEFF SIEBEL-Comments:Remove portable electric heaters from store.
Install permanent heat with permits and inspections.
FAIL 803.1.2-Interior wall and Interior wall and ceiling finishes shall be classified in accordance with ASTM E84 or UL
ceiling finish materials tested 723.Such interior finish materials shall be grouped in the following classes in
in accordance with ASTM E84 accordance with their flame spread and smoke-developed indices:Class A:Flame
or UL 723. spread index 0-25;smoke-developed index 0-450.Class B: Flame spread index 26-75;
smoke-developed index 0-450.Class C: Flame spread index 76-200;smoke-developed
index 0-450.Exception:Materials tested in accordance with Section 803.1.1 and as
indicated in Sections 803.1.3 through 803.15.

walls and ceiling. Paper insulation backed insulation listing requires applicable
covering.Obtain permit and inspections.

FAIL 906.1 -Where required. Portable fire extinguishers shall be installed in all of the following locations: 1.In new
and existing Group A,B,E,F,H, I,M,R-1,R-2,R-4 and S occupancies.Exceptions: 1.In
Group R-2 occupancies,portable fire extinguishers shall be required only in locations
specified in Items 2 through 6 where each dwelling unit is provided with a portable
fire extinguisher having a minimum rating of 1-A:10-B:C.2.In Group E occupancies,
portable fire extinguishers shall be required only in locations specified in Items 2
through 6 where each classroom is provided with a portable fire extinguisher having
a minimum rating of 2-A:20-B:C.3. In storage areas of Group S occupancies where
forklift,powered industrial truck or powered cart operators are the primary
occupants,fixed extinguishers,as specified in NFPA 10,shall not be required where in
accordance with all of the following:3.1.Use of vehicle-mounted extinguishers shall
be approved by the fire code official.3.2. Each vehicle shall be equipped with a 10-
pound,40A:80B:C extinguisher affixed to the vehicle using a mounting bracket
approved by the extinguisher manufacturer or the fire code official for vehicular use.
3.3.Not less than two spare extinguishers of equal or greater rating shall be available
on-site to replace a discharged extinguisher.3.4.Vehicle operators shall be trained in
the proper operation,use and inspection of extinguishers.3.5. Inspections of vehicle-
mounted extinguishers shall be performed daily.2.Within 30 feet(9144 mm)distance
of travel from commercial cooking equipment and from domestic cooking equipment
in Group I-1; 1-2,Condition 1;and R-2 college dormitory occupancies.3.In areas where
flammable or combustible liquids are stored,used or dispensed.4.On each floor of
structures under construction,except Group R-3 occupancies, in accordance with
Section 3316.1.5.Where required by the sections indicated in Table 906.1.6.Special-
hazard areas,including but not limited to laboratories,computer rooms and
generator rooms,where required by the fire code official. Exception: Portable fire
extinguishers are not required at normally unmanned Group U occupancy buildings
or structures where a portable fire extinguisher suitable to the hazard of the location
is provided on the vehicle of visiting personnel.
Inspector:JEFF SIEBEL-Comments: Install a currently serviced 2A-10BC fire
extinguisher 4"to 5 feet above the floor in an readily accessible location.
