RESOLUTION NO. 2013-423
RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMISSION TO NAACP TO
HOLD THE ANNUAL JUNETEENTH DAY PARADE ON
JUNE 15, 2013.
WHEREAS, the NAACP has made written application to the City
Council asking that they be authorized and permitted to hold the
annual Juneteenth Day Parade on June 15, 2013, and
WHEREAS, said parade will begin at 10:00 a.m., with the
route starting at Sumner and Jackson Street and ending at Lower
Gates Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the NAACP to hold the annual
Juneteenth Day Parade on June 15, 2013 beginning at 10:00 a.m.,
with the route starting at Sumner and Jackson Street and ending
at Lower Gates Park, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of May, 2013.
