RESOLUTION NO. 2013-424
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF DAWN BOONE FOR
A VARIANCE TO ORDINANCE NO. 3094, NOISE
ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, Dawn Boone is requesting a variance to the Noise
Ordinance on June 1, 2013 from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., in
conjunction with "Pack the Park" Taye Doss Cancer Benefit event
to be held at Furgerson Field, including a band/DJ and the use of
a PA system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Ordinance
No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said Dawn Boone has made formal application for a
variance effective June 1, 2013 from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.,
together with recommendation and approval of the Director of
Safety Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Dawn Boone for a variance to
Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, on June 1, 2013 from 12:00
noon to 5:00 p.m., in conjunction with "Pack the Park" Taye Doss
Cancer Benefit event to be held at Furgerson Field, including a
band/DJ and the use of a PA system, be and the same hereby
granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of May, 2013.
