901.6 Inspection,testing and maintenance. Fire detection,alarm,
and extinguishing systems, mechanical smoke exhaust systems,
and smoke and heat vents shall be maintained in an operative
condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where
defective. Nonrequired fire protection systems and equipment shall
be inspected,tested and maintained or removed.

Kitchen Hoods
609.3.3.3.1 Tags.When a commercial kitchen hood or duct system
is inspected,a tag containing the service provider name, address,
telephone number and date of service shall be provided in a
conspicuous location. Prior tags shall be covered or removed.
*Hood cleaning tag was not present on the hood when inspected

Illumination
1008.2 Illumination required.The means of egress serving a room
or space shall be illuminated at all times that the room or space is
occupied.
2015 IFC Means of Egress Section 1013 Exit Signs
1013.6.3 Power source. Exit signs shall be illuminated at all times.
To ensure continued illumination for a duration of not less than 90
minutes in case of primary power loss,the sign illumination means
shall be connected to an emergency power system provided from
storage batteries, unit equipment or an on-site generator.The
installation of the emergency power system shall be in accordance
with Section 604.
