RESOLUTION NO. 2026-392
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AWARD OF BID TO
LEHMAN TRUCKING & EXCAVATING, INC., OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $93,009.00,
APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BOND, AND CERTIFICATE
OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH DEMOLITION
AND SITE CLEARANCE SERVICES WITH REGULATED
ASBESTOS -CONTAINING MATERIALS, CONTRACT NO.
RD-2026-06-05P, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City has prepared plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate of
cost for the Demolition and Site Clearance Services with Regulated Asbestos -Containing
Materials Project, Contract No. RD-2026-06-05P; and
WHEREAS, Lehman Trucking & Excavating, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted the
lowest responsive, responsible bid in the amount of $93,009.00; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it appropriate to award the bid to Lehman Trucking
& Excavating, Inc., approve the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance, and authorize
execution of said documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The bid for Demolition and Site Clearance Services with Regulated Asbestos -
Containing Materials Project, Contract No. RD-2026-06-05P, is hereby awarded to Lehman
Trucking & Excavating, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, in the amount of $93,009.00.
2. The contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted in connection with said
project are hereby approved.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of July 2026.
