RESOLUTION NO. 2026-393
RESOLUTION CONFIRMING APPROVAL OF
SPECIFICATIONS, BID DOCUMENTS, FORM OF
CONTRACT, ETC., AND AUTHORIZING TO PROCEED IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE DEMOLITION AND SITE
CLEARANCE SERVICES WITH REGULATED ASBESTOS
ABATEMENT SERVICES, CONTRACT AB-2026-06-01P (1442
SYCAMORE STREET, FORMER RATH BUILDINGS).
WHEREAS, specifications, bid documents, form of contract, have been prepared for the
Asbestos Abatement Services Project, Contract AB-2026-06-01P (1442 Sycamore Street, former
Rath buildings); and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the proposed specifications, bid documents,
form of contract, and related documents for said project; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to confirm approval of the plans, specifications,
form of contract, and related documents, and authorize the project to proceed in accordance with
applicable bidding and contracting requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The specifications, bid documents, form of contract, and related documents for the
Asbestos Abatement Services Project, Contract AB-2026-06-01P (1442 Sycamore Street, former
Rath buildings), are hereby confirmed and approved.
2. The Planning and Development Department are authorized to proceed with the project
in accordance with said plans, specifications, and form of contract.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of July 2026.
