RESOLUTION NO. 2026-395 RESOLUTION APPROVING A 30-DAY NO -COST PILOT AGREEMENT WITH OMNISIGHT OF CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA, FOR ADAPTIVE SIGNAL TIMING MANAGEMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, desires to evaluate adaptive signal timing management technology to improve traffic signal operations and transportation system efficiency; and WHEREAS, Omnisight of Charleston, South Carolina, has proposed a 30-day no -cost pilot agreement for adaptive signal timing management; and WHEREAS, the proposed pilot agreement will allow the City to assess the functionality, performance, and potential benefits of adaptive signal timing management without cost to the City during the pilot period; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds it appropriate to approve the 30-day no -cost pilot agreement with Omnisight and authorize execution of said document. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, 1. The 30-Day No -Cost Pilot Agreement with Omnisight of Charleston, South Carolina, for adaptive signal timing management is hereby approved. 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said document on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of July 2026.
