RESOLUTION NO. 2026-396
RESOLUTION APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF
UNDERSTANDING WITH BLACK HAWK COUNTY TO
ENTER INTO A DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR THE
EXCHANGE OF PROPERTIES BETWEEN THE CITY OF
WATERLOO AND BLACK HAWK COUNTY FOR THE
BLACK HAWK COUNTY ROAD DEPARTMENT
EXPANSION AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and Black Hawk County desire to cooperate
regarding the proposed expansion of the Black Hawk County Road Department; and
WHEREAS, the proposed project contemplates an exchange of certain properties
between the City of Waterloo and Black Hawk County to facilitate said expansion; and
WHEREAS, a Memorandum of Understanding has been prepared setting forth the intent
of the parties to enter into a Development Agreement related to the proposed property exchange
and Black Hawk County Road Department expansion; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it appropriate to approve the Memorandum of
Understanding with Black Hawk County and authorize execution of said document.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The Memorandum of Understanding with Black Hawk County to enter into a
Development Agreement for the exchange of properties between the City of Waterloo and Black
Hawk County for the Black Hawk County Road Department expansion is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said document on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
