RESOLUTION NO. 2026-388
RESOLUTION APPROVING EXPERIENCE WATERLOO
BOARD RECOMMENDATION FOR FUNDING THE MINI
GRANT FOR THE MIDWEST REGIONAL SKI CONTEST IN
THE AMOUNT OF $3,000.00.
WHEREAS, Experience Waterloo has established a mini grant program to support
events and activities that promote tourism, community engagement, and economic activity
within the City of Waterloo; and
WHEREAS, an application was submitted for mini grant funding for the Midwest
Regional Ski Contest; and
WHEREAS, the Experience Waterloo Board has reviewed the application and
recommended approval of funding for the Midwest Regional Ski Contest in the amount of
$3,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that funding the Midwest Regional Ski Contest
through the Experience Waterloo mini grant program serves a public purpose by supporting a
community event that promotes Waterloo and encourages visitor activity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The City Council hereby approves the Experience Waterloo Board recommendation
for funding the mini grant for the Midwest Regional Ski Contest in the amount of $3,000.00.
2. The Finance Department is hereby authorized and directed to process the payment of
the grant award in accordance with applicable City procedures.
