Enclosed please find a copy of Change Order No. 2 to the above -referenced project.
The change order reflects three items, and is for a net increase in the contract amount of
$46,684.40.
1. During construction activities, it was discovered that existing gas piping and appurtenances
had deteriorated to a point that they need to be replaced. Existing gas piping will be
removed and replaced with new piping, gas regulators, valves, thermostats and
appurtenances within Building #330.
2. There was an allowance in the Contract to provide thermal sealing to existing doors in
Building #330. WPCF staff selected the doors that required thermal sealing. This results in
an increase beyond the allowance.
3. Additional time added to the Contract is needed for the WPCF staff to catch-up on sludge
dewatering operations before the Contractor replaces some existing sludge piping per the
project and to complete these change order items.

Reason for Change Order:
1. During construction activities, it was discovered that existing gas piping and appurtenances had deteriorated to a point that they need to be

2. There was a $10,000 allowance in the Contract to provide thermal sealing to existing doors in Building #330. WPCF staff selected the doors that
required thermal sealing. The Increase of $3,267.87 is the amount over the allowance to complete this work.
3. Additional time added to the Contract is needed for the WPCF staff to catch-up on sludge dewatering operations before the Contractor replaces
some existing sludge piping per the project and to complete these Change Order Items.
