STATUS CODE DESCRIPTION
FAIL 1031.2-Reliability Required exit accesses,exits and exit discharges shall be continuously maintained
free from obstructions or impediments to full instant use in the case of fire or other
emergency where the building area served by the means of egress is occupied.An
exit or exit passageway shall not be used for any purpose that interferes with a
means of egress.
Inspector:JEFF SIEBEL-Comments:A.Remove snow and ice thru garden center to
middle exit. Keep clear at all times.B.Replace do not block sign on outside of door 53
FAIL 105.7.13-Private fire A construction permit is required for the installation or modification of private fire
hydrants hydrants. Maintenance performed in accordance with this code is not considered to
be a modification and does not require a permit.
Inspector:JEFF SIEBEL-Comments:provide annual fire hydrant inspection/testing
with all discrepancies corrected.Contractor must upload inspection online to the
compliance engine.
FAIL 315.3.1 -Ceiling clearance Storage shall be maintained 2 feet(610 mm)or more below the ceiling in
nonsprinklered areas of buildings or not less than 18 inches(457 mm)below
sprinkler head deflectors in sprinklered areas of buildings.
Inspector:JEFF SIEBEL-Comments:Maximum storage allowed per fire sprinkler
design is 20 feet.Bagged Insulation and styrofoam insulation are stack higher at this
time.
FAIL 5.2.1 -Annual sprinkler Sprinklers shall be inspected at least annually by licensed contractor
system inspection
Inspector:JEFF SIEBEL-Comments: Provide current annual fire sprinkler inspection
report with all discrepancies corrected. Report from Summit dated 4/7/20 lists
deficiencies.Also,the outside test ports are leaking and possibly frozen.Contractor
must upload corrections online to the compliance engine.

FAIL 509.1 -Identification Fire protection equipment shall be identified in an approved manner.Rooms
containing controls for air-conditioning systems,sprinkler risers and valves,or other
fire detection,suppression or control elements shall be identified for the use of the
fire department.Approved signs required to identify fire protection equipment and
equipment location shall be constructed of durable materials,permanently installed
and readily visible.

department connections in Aisle 16A appliances,and Aisle 45
FAIL 509.2-Equipment access Approved access shall be provided and maintained for all fire protection equipment
to permit immediate safe operation and maintenance of such equipment.Storage,
trash and other materials or objects shall not be placed or kept in such a manner
that would prevent such equipment from being readily accessible.

connections:Aisle 16A,33,Aisle 39,and 45
FAIL 5106.5.2-Cartoned products Level 2 and 3 aerosols displayed or merchandised more than 8 feet(2438 mm)above
the finished floor shall be in cartons.
Inspector:JEFF SIEBEL-Comments:Spray paint stored higher than 8 feet must be in
enclosed cartons.
FAIL 604.2.5-Exit signs Emergency power shall be provided for exit signs as required in Section 1013.6.3.The
system shall be capable of powering the required load for a duration of not less than
90 minutes.
Inspector:JEFF SIEBEL-Comments: Repair exit lights:A.hanging by door 53,B exit
light above door 53.C.exit 55 sign.
FAIL 604.4.2-Records Records of the inspection,testing and maintenance of emergency and standby
power systems shall include the date of service, name of the servicing technician,a
summary of conditions noted and a detailed description of any conditions requiring
correction and what corrective action was taken.Such records shall be maintained.
Inspector:JEFF SIEBEL-Comments: Provide documentation of testing of all
emergency egress and exit lights with deficiencies corrected with signature and date.
FAIL 605.10.4-Prohibited areas Portable,electric space heaters shall not be operated within 3 feet(914 mm)of any
combustible materials. Portable,electric space heaters shall be operated only in
locations for which they are listed.

FAIL 605.5-Extension cords Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring.
Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be affixed to structures,extended
through walls,ceilings or floors,or under doors or floor coverings, nor shall such
cords be subject to environmental damage or physical impact. Extension cords shall
be used only with portable appliances.
Inspector:JEFF SIEBEL-Comments: Remove extension cords from RTM Cage
FAIL 906.6-Unobstructed and Portable fire extinguishers shall not be obstructed or obscured from view. In rooms
unobscured or areas in which visual obstruction cannot be completely avoided, means shall be
provided to indicate the locations of extinguishers.
Inspector:JEFF SIEBEL-Comments:remove obstructions to fire extinguisher by dock
door.
FAIL Chapter 14-Inspection, Fire alarm system tested at least annually by licensed contractor
testing,and maintenance
