FAIL 507.5.2 Inspection,testing Fire hydrant systems shall be subject to periodic tests as required by the fire code
and maintenance official. Fire hydrant sysuemsshall be maintained in an operative condition at all
� times and shall be repaired where defective.Additions' napairs'alterations and
servicing shall comply with approved standards. Records of tests and required
maintenance shall bemaintained.

FAIL 5383.5.3 Securing Compressed gas containers,cylinders and tanks shall be secured to prevent failing
compressed gas containers, caused by contact,vibration or seismic activity.Securing of compressed gas
cylinders and containers,cylinders and tanks shall be by one of the following methods: 1.Securing
containers,cylinders and tanks to a fixed object with one or more restraints.2.
Securing containers,cylinders and tanks on a cart or other mobile device designed
for the movement ofcompressed gas containers' cylinders or tanks.3. Nesting of
compressed gas containers,cylinders and tanks at container filling or servicing
facilities or in se!|ers'vvarehouses not accessible to the public. Nesting shall be
allowed provided the nested containers,cylinders or tanks, ifdis|od�ed'dnnot
obstruct the required means of egress.4.Securing of compressed gas containers,
cylinders and tanks toor within e rack framework cabinet or similar assembly
designed for such use. Exception:Compressed gas containers,cylinders and tanks in
the process o[examination,filling,transport or-servicing.

equipment through 604.6.2.1.
Inspector:BARRY STRATTON-Comments:Egress light in grinding tower on 3rd floor
stair tower did not work.
FAIL 901.5-Installation Fire detection and alarm systems,fire-extinguishing systems,fire hydrant systems,
acceptance testing fire standpipe systems,fire pump systems, private fire service mains and all other fire
protection systems and appurtenances thereto shall be subject to acceptance tests
as contained in the installation standards and as approved by the fire code official.
The fire code official shall be notified before any required acceptance testing.
