Identified hazardous electrical conditions electrical hazards in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of the responsible code official. Electrical wiring,devices,appliances and other equipment that is modified or damaged and constitutes an electrical shock or fire hazard shall not be used, Inspector: BARRY STRATTON-Comments:Need grounding strap on service. Porch outlet needs replaced. Outlets all need approved covers and plates.Outlets need to be wired correctly. Outlets have bad grounds throughout house. Electric boxes missing covers in basement. Need a light in bathroom rated for a wet location. Light in to close to water contact in shower. GCFI outlets throughout house not wired correctly, FAR. 906.1 -Where required Portable fire extinguishers shall be installed in all of the following locations: 1.In new and existing Group A, B, E,F, H, I,M,R-1,R-2,R-4 and S occupancies. Exception: In Group R-2 occupancies, portable fire extinguishers shall be required only in locations specified in Items 2 through 6 where each dwelling unit is provided with a portable fire extinguisher having a minimum rating of 1-A:10-B:C.2.Within 30 feet(9144 mm) of commercial cooking equipment.3. In areas where flammable or combustible liquids are stored, used or dispensed.4. On each floor of structures under construction,except Group R-3 occupancies, in accordance with Section 3315.1. 5. Where required by the sections indicated in Table 906.1.6.Special-hazard areas, including but not limited to laboratories, computer rooms and generator rooms, where required by the fire code official. FAIL 907.2.11 -Single-and Listed single-and multiple-station smoke alarms complying with UL 217 shall be multiple-station smoke installed in accordance with Sections 907.2,11.1 through 907.2.11.6 and NFPA 72. alarms Inspector:BARRY STRATTON-Comments:Need smoke detectors in each bedroom, outside bedrooms,and in basement. Electric system hazards. Unit has new tenants @ listed address before corrections are completed. No corrections have been done since last 2 inspections. FAIL R5- Exterior Structure Is the exterior of the structure maintained in good repair,structurally sound and sanitary state?(IPMC 304) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON-Comments:Broken/missing windows. FAIL R6-Interior Structure Has the interior of the structure and equipment inside been maintained in good repair,structurally sound,and in a sanitary condition?(IPMC 305) Inspector:BARRY STRATTON-Comments:Need handrails to basement. Need covers on cold air returns. Need to replace windows/install windows on rear porch. Structural bracing in basement is failing. Need to brace house to meet code. Broken doors in upstairs bedrooms.Ceiling in upstairs hallway needs repaired. FAIL R6.A.-Interior Structure- Were any unsafe conditions noted during the interior inspection?(IPMC 305.1.1) Unsafe Conditions Inspector: BARRY STRATTON-Comments:Electric and structural bracing in basement FAIL R6.B.-Residential Heating Are dwellings provided with heating facilities capable of maintaining a room temperature of 68F?(IPMC 602.2) Inspector:BARRY STRATTON-Comments:Need register covers on all vents/returns. FAIL R6.C.-Mechanical Eqiupment Are mechanical appliances properly installed and maintained in good working condition?(IPMC 603.1) Inspector: BARRY STRATTON-Comments:Water heater installed in 2018 was done without permits and inspections. Every bathroom and toilet room shall comply with the ventilation requirements for habitable spaces as required by Section 403.1,except that a window shall not be required in such spaces equipped with a mechanical ventilation system.Air exhausted by a mechanical ventilation system from a bathroom or toilet room shall discharge to the outdoors and shall not be recirculated. Need to install bath exhaust fan in bathroom. BARRY STRATTON-12/07/2021 @ 11:49 505.4 Water heating facilities.Water heating facilities shall be properly installed, maintained and capable of providing an adequate amount of water to be drawn at every required sink,lavatory, bathtub,shower and laundry facility at a minimum temperature of 110°F(43°C).A gas-burning water heater shall not be located in any bathroom,toilet room, bedroom or other occupied room normally kept closed,unless adequate combustion air is provided.An approved combination temperature and pressure-relief valve and relief valve discharge pipe shall be properly installed and maintained on water heaters. Electrical equipment,wiring and appliances shall be properly installed and maintained in a safe and approved manner. BARRY STRATTON-12/07/2021 @ 11:50 108.1.3 Structure unfit for human occupancy.A structure is unfit for human occupancy whenever the code official finds that such structure is unsafe,unlawful or, because of the degree to which the structure is in disrepair or lacks maintenance,is insanitary, vermin or rat infested,contains filth and contamination,or lacks ventilation, illumination,sanitary or heating facilities or other essential equipment required by this code,or because the location of the structure constitutes a hazard to the occupants of the structure or to the public.
