FAIL 1008.1 -Means of egress Illumination shall be provided in the means of egress in accordance with Section
illumination 1008.2. Under emergency power, means of egress illumination shall comply with
Section 1008.3.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON-Comments:Need all lights in stairwell repaired.
Egress/exit signs need maintenance because lights do not work.
FAIL 1031.3- Obstructions A means of egress shall be free from obstructions that would prevent its use,
including the accumulation of snow and ice.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON-Comments:Obstructions in common hallways.
FAIL 604.2.12-Means of egress Emergency power shall be provided for means of egress illumination in accordance
illumination with Sections 1008.3 and 1104.5.1.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON-Comments:Egress path has lights not working.
FAIL 605.1 -Abatement of Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Identified hazardous electrical conditions
electrical hazards in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of the responsible code official.
Electrical wiring,devices, appliances and other equipment that is modified or
damaged and constitutes an electrical shock or fire hazard shall not be used.
Inspector:BARRY STRATTON-Comments:Open electrical box by back door needs
approved cover.
FAIL 605.5-Extension cords Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring.
Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be affixed to structures,extended
through walls,ceilings or floors,or under doors or floor coverings,nor shall such
cords be subject to environmental damage or physical impact. Extension cords shall
be used only with portable appliances.
Inspector: BARRY STRATTON-Comments:Lights plugged in under doors to
apartments for lighting hallway need removed.

hallways. Need detectors installed in building to meet code requirements.

existing buildings in accordance with Section 1103.9.

FAIL R6- interior Structure Has the interior of the structure and equipment inside been maintained in good
repair,structurally sound,and in a sanitary condition?(IPMC 305)
Inspector:BARRY STRATTON-Comments:Peeling paint needs corrected in building.
Obstructions in egress path need removed. Lights do not work in common stairwells.
Back door jamb and lock set are exposed to outside threat of getting in building.
Broken windows in stair well.

BARRY STRATTON-03/15/2022 @ 12:38 305.3 Interior surfaces. Interior surfaces, including windows and doors,shall be
maintained in good,clean and sanitary condition. Peeling,chipping,flaking or abraded
paint shall be repaired,removed or covered.Cracked or loose plaster,decayed wood
and other defective surface conditions shall be corrected.( Peeling and abraded paint
in common hallways shall be corrected).

BARRY STRATTON-03/15/2022 @ 12:42 304.13 Window,skylight and door frames. Every window,skylight,door and frame shall
be kept in sound condition,good repair and weather tight.
BARRY STRATTON-03/15/2022 @ 12:42 304.15 Doors. Exterior doors,door assemblies, operator systems if provided, and
hardware shall be maintained in good condition. Locks at all entrances to dwelling
units and sleeping units shall tightly secure the door. Locks on means of egress doors
shall be in accordance with Section 702.3.
BARRY STRATTON-03/15/2022 @ 12:43 304.18 Building security. Doors,windows or hatchways for dwelling units, room units
or housekeeping units shall be provided with devices designed to provide security for
the occupants and property within.
