RESOLUTION NO. 2026-463
RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH MCCLURE ENGINEERING FOR THE
WRITING, PREPARATION, AND SUBMITTAL TO THE
IOWA DOT'S RISE GRANT PROGRAM, FOR THE
EXTENSION OF ROAD NEAR 1575 W. BIG ROCK ROAD, IN
AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $18,000.00, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, desires to pursue funding through the Iowa
Department of Transportation's Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy (RISE) Grant Program for
the extension of a road near 1575 W. Big Rock Road; and
WHEREAS, McClure Engineering Company has submitted a Professional Services
Agreement, in an amount not to exceed $18,000.00, to provide services for the writing,
preparation, and submittal of a RISE grant application to the Iowa Department of Transportation;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that approval of the Professional Services Agreement
is in the best interests of the City of Waterloo.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The Professional Services Agreement between the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and
McClure Engineering Company for the writing, preparation, and submittal of an application to
the Iowa Department of Transportation's RISE Grant Program for the extension of a road near
1575 W. Big Rock Road, in an amount not to $18,000.00, is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said document on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
