RESOLUTION NO. 2026-431
RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH EIC ENTERPRISES, LLC, TO
EXTEND THE COMPLETION DEADLINE OF THE HOMES ALONG
CHALMERS AVENUE TO OCTOBER 31, 2026, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and EIC Enterprises, LLC, entered into a
Development Agreement concerning the development and completion of homes along Chalmers
Avenue; and
WHEREAS, EIC Enterprises, LLC, has requested an extension of the completion
deadline for said homes to October 31, 2026; and;
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that approval of the amendment is in the best
interests of the City of Waterloo.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the amendment to the Development Agreement between the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, and EIC Enterprises, LLC, extending the completion deadline for the homes along
Chalmers Avenue to October 31, 2026, is hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents
on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of August 2026.
