RESOLUTION NO. 2026-432
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION BY THE CITY OF
WATERLOO FOR THE CERTIFIED LOCAL GOVERNMENT GRANT
TO RECEIVE FUNDING FOR THE AQUA LINE: WATERLOO
HISTORIC WALK PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is eligible to apply for funding through the
Certified Local Government Grant program; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to submit an application for Certified Local Government
Grant funding for The Aqua Line: Waterloo Historic Walk project; and
WHEREAS, the proposed project will support the identification, interpretation, and
promotion of Waterloo's historic resources; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that submission of the grant application is in the best
interests of the City of Waterloo.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the City of Waterloo's application for Certified Local Government Grant funding
for The Aqua Line: Waterloo Historic Walk project is hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents
on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of August 2026.
