RESOLUTION NO. 2026-434
RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH BACKES COMMERCIAL AUCTIONEERS TO
SELL OBSOLETE FIRE/RESCUE EQUIPMENT AND AUTHORIZING
THE FIRE CHIEF TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has certain obsolete Fire/Rescue equipment that
is no longer needed for municipal purposes; and
WHEREAS, Backes Commercial Auctioneers has submitted a Professional Services
Agreement to provide auction services for the sale of said obsolete Fire/Rescue equipment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that entering into the Professional Services
Agreement is in the best interests of the City of Waterloo.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the Professional Services Agreement between the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and
Backes Commercial Auctioneers, for auction services related to the sale of obsolete Fire/Rescue
equipment, is hereby approved.
2. That the Fire Chief is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of
the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
