RESOLUTION NO. 2026-438
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A TEN-YEAR PROCUREMENT
CONTRACT FOR BODY/IN-CAR CAMERAS, DFR, TASERS AND
DIGITAL EVIDENCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WITH AXON
ENTERPRISE, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,567,660.53 AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, desires to procure body -worn cameras, in -car
camera systems, Drone as First Responder services, TASER equipment, and a digital evidence
management system for use by the Waterloo Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Axon Enterprise, Inc., has submitted a ten-year Procurement Contract for
the provision of such equipment, services, software, and related support in the total amount of
$6,567,660.53; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that approval of the Procurement Contract is in the
best interests of the City of Waterloo and will support public safety operations, evidence
management, and law enforcement services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the ten-year Procurement Contract between the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and Axon
Enterprise, Inc., for body -worn cameras, in -car camera systems, Drone as First Responder
services, TASER equipment, and a digital evidence management system, in the total amount of
$6,567,660.53, is hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the
City of Waterloo, Iowa.
