RESOLUTION NO. 2026-410
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO WENDLER,
INC., OF AMANA, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$2,966,361.40, APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS, AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE FY23 CATTLE CONGRESS SANITARY SEWER LIFT
STATION RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, CONTRACT NO.
1075, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has solicited bids for the FY23 Cattle Congress
Sanitary Sewer Lift Station Reconstruction Project, Contract No. 1075; and
WHEREAS, Wendler, Inc., of Amana, Iowa, submitted the lowest responsible bid for the
project in the amount of $2,966,361.40; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the bid submitted by Wendler, Inc. is in the best
interest of the City of Waterloo.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The bid submitted by Wendler, Inc., of Amana, Iowa, for the FY23 Cattle Congress
Sanitary Sewer Lift Station Reconstruction Project, Contract No. 1075, in the amount of
$2,966,361.40, is hereby accepted and the contract is awarded to Wendler, Inc.
2. The City Clerk is directed to publish notice of said public hearing as required by law.
