RESOLUTION NO. 2026-466
RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF
SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY
2027 SIDEWALK REPAIR ASSESSMENT PROGRAM - ZONE 5B.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has determined that certain
sidewalk improvements are necessary within Zone 5B of the FY 2027 Sidewalk Repair
Assessment Program; and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvements include the repair, replacement, reconstruction,
and construction of sidewalks, as necessary, within the designated project area; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed sidewalk improvements will
promote public safety, accessibility, and the general welfare of the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the proposed construction of sidewalk improvements in conjunction with the FY
2027 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program — Zone 5B is hereby approved.
2. That the Engineering Department is authorized and directed to proceed with the project
in accordance with applicable City procedures and Iowa law.
