RESOLUTION NO. 2026-471
RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH MEAD & HUNT OF MADISON, WISCONSIN,
IN THE AMOUNT OF $45,343.00, TO CONDUCT AN
EXPLORATORY GOVERNANCE TRANSITION STUDY (PHASE 1),
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo desires to conduct an Exploratory Governance
Transition Study, Phase 1, to evaluate governance -transition considerations and related matters;
and
WHEREAS, Mead & Hunt, of Madison, Wisconsin, has submitted a Professional
Services Agreement to conduct said study in the amount of $45,343.00; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed Professional Services Agreement is
in the best interests of the City of Waterloo.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the Professional Services Agreement with Mead & Hunt, of Madison, Wisconsin,
in the amount of $45,343.00 to conduct an Exploratory Governance Transition Study (Phase 1),
is hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the
City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17' day of August 2026.
