RESOLUTION NO. 2026-473
RESOLUTION APPROVING SUBMISSION OF AN
INTENDED USE PLAN AND FACILITY PLAN TO THE IOWA
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES FOR THE US
HIGHWAY 63 LIFT STATION, FORCE MAIN, AND
SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS PHASE II PROJECT,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo proposes to undertake the U.S. Highway 63 Lift
Station, Force Main, and Sanitary Sewer Improvements Phase II Project; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to submit an Intended Use Plan and Facility Plan to the
Iowa Department of Natural Resources in connection with the project; and
WHEREAS, submission of the Intended Use Plan and Facility Plan is necessary to pursue
applicable Iowa Department of Natural Resources review, approval, and potential financial
assistance for the project; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that submission of said documents is in the best
interests of the City of Waterloo.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the submission of an Intended Use Plan and Facility Plan to the Iowa Department
of Natural Resources for the U.S. Highway 63 Lift Station, Force Main, and Sanitary Sewer
Improvements Phase II Project is hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents
on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
