RESOLUTION NO. 2026-446
RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS SEPTEMBER 3, 2026, AND
DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS SEPTEMBER 8, 2026, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2027 SIDEWALK REPAIR
ASSESSMENT PROGRAM - ZONE 5B, CONTRACT NO. 1156,
AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has prepared preliminary plans, specifications,
form of contract, in conjunction with FY 2027 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program - Zone 5B,
Contract No. 1156; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to approve said preliminary plans, specifications, form of
contract, and estimate of cost, and to establish a date for bid opening and a date for public
hearing on the proposed contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate of cost in
conjunction with the FY 2027 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program - Zone 5B, Contract No.
1156, are hereby approved.
2. That sealed bids for said project shall be received up to 1:00 p.m. September 3, 2026.
3. That a public hearing on the proposed plans, specifications and form of contract, for
said project is hereby set for September 8, 2026.
4. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing as
required by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of August 2026.
