RESOLUTION NO. 2026-450
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SALE OF USED VEHICLES
AND EQUIPMENT FROM THE PUBLIC WORKS
DEPARTMENT VIA THE PURPLE WAVE WEBSITE.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, Public Works Department has certain used
vehicles and equipment that are no longer needed for municipal purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to sell such used vehicles and equipment through the Purple
Wave online auction website; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the sale of used vehicles and equipment through
the Purple Wave online auction website is in the best interests of the City of Waterloo.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
1. That the sale of used vehicles and equipment from the Public Works Department
through the Purple Wave online auction website is hereby approved.
2. That the appropriate City officials and staff are hereby authorized and directed to take
all actions necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution, including listing the approved
vehicles and equipment for sale and completing all documents necessary to transfer title or
ownership following the sale.
