RESOLUTION NO. 2026-451
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE INSTALLATION OF A
SPEED HUMP IN THE 3900 BLOCK OF CEDAR TERRACE.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has received a request for traffic -calming
measures in the 3900 block of Cedar Terrace; and
WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed the request and supports installation of a speed
hump at an appropriate location within the 3900 block of Cedar Terrace; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that installation of a speed hump will promote traffic
safety and help reduce vehicle speeds in the area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
1. That installation of a speed hump in the 3900 block of Cedar Terrace is hereby
approved.
2. That the Traffic Department is authorized and directed to take all actions necessary to
install the speed hump, including placement of any required traffic -control signage and pavement
markings.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of August 2026.
