RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS SEPTEMBER 10, 2026, AND
DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS SEPTEMBER 21, 2026, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2026 SOUTH BUSINESS
PARK - PHASE I, CONTRACT NO. 1129, RM-8155(789)--9D-
07 AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH
NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has prepared preliminary plans, specifications,
form of contract, in conjunction with FY 2026 South Business Park - Phase I, Contract No. 1129,
RM-8155(789)--9D-07; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to approve said preliminary plans, specifications, form of
contract, and estimate of cost, and to establish a date for bid opening and a date for public
hearing on the proposed contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate of cost in
conjunction with the FY 2026 South Business Park - Phase I, Contract No. 1129, RM-
8155(789)--9D-07, are hereby approved.
2. That the sealed bids for said project shall be received up to 1:00 p.m. September 10,
2026.
3. That a public hearing on the proposed plans, specifications and form of contract for
said project is hereby set for September 21, 2026.
4. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing as
required by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of August 2026.
