RECEIVING OF BIDS
Sealed proposals will be received by
the City Clerk of the City of Waterloo.
Iowa, at her office in the Clty Hall of
the said City on the 3 rd day o1 Sep-
tember 2025 until 1:00 p.m. for the
construction of the F.Y.2027 Sidewalk
Assessment Program — Zone 5B,
Contract No. 1156. as described in de-
tail In the plans and specifications now
en file in the Office of the Clty Clerk.
OPENING OF BIDS
All proposals received will be opened
In the Harold E. Getty Council Cham-
bers in City Hall, in the City of Wa-
terloo, lower on the 3 rd day of Sep-
tember 2025 at 1:00 p.m., and the
proposals Wil be acted upon at such
later time and place as may then be
fixed by the City Council.
PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Coun-
cil of said Clty will conduct a pub-
lic hearing on the proposed plans.
specifications, form of contract, and
estimate of cost for the construction
of the above -described improvement
project at 5:30 p.m. on the B th day
of September 2026 . said hearing to
be held in the Harold E. Getty Coun-
cil Chambers in City Hall In said City.
The proposed plans, specifications,
form of contract, and estimate of cost
for said improvements heretofore pre-
pared by the City of Waterloo are now
on file in the office of the City Clerk
for public examination, and any per-
son interested therein may file written
objection thereto with the City Clerk
before the date set for said hearing,
or appear and make objection thereto
with the City Clerk before the date set
for said hearing. or appear and make
objectiontherefo at the meeting above
set forth.
SCOPE OF WORK
The extent of the work involved is re-
moving and replacing PCC sidewalk
of various widths and thicknesses and
water valve repair within Zone 5B of
the City of Waterloo's Sidewalk Repair
Program.
This project Is generally located In an
area bound by: E. Ridgeway Avenue —
East City Limit Line —South City Limit
Line— Kimball Avenue.
Published pursuant to the provisions
of Chapter 26 of the City Code of Iowa
and upon order to the Clty Council of
said Waterloo, towa, on the 17 th day
of August 2026.
