RON The Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center has been broken into five (5) times
WEEPER over the past two (2) years. The repair of doors, ceiling, etc., has cost the City over

$9,000.00 in repairs because of the damage to the building. The latest break-in
BOB required the replacement of the overhead door in the Sally-Port area—at a cost of
GREENWOOD over$5,000.00.

ERIC I am requesting authorization to seek bids to install an alarm system and a video
GUNDERSON camera system (similar to what we have in City Hall) in the facility to help protect
At-Large the City's continued investment in the Center.
I am also requesting authorization to spend a cost of(not to exceed) $22,000.00 for
the alarm and camera systems. We will bring the bids back before you for final
approval.
We do have C.I.P. bond funding to support this investment.
