RE: Request to seek RFP— Set date of hearing
We are requesting permission to seek RFP's from marketing firms in the Cedar Valley
interested in working with the Waterloo Regional Airport to assist in providing
professional marketing services, including: developing a 3 year marketing plan,
developing creative advertising, and branding development.
We would also request to set the date of hearing as December 8, 2004.
The selected firm will provide marketing services to Waterloo Regional Airport to assist
in administering part of the $300,000 of marketing funds over a three-year period. Of the
$300,000, marketing grant funds available, 96.49% ($289,470) will be funded through a
federal grant and 3.51% ($10,530) will be funded by the Airport ($5,265) and community
($5,265) over a three-year period.
The marketing RFP is enclosed for your review.
This marketing program is part of the Small Airport Air Service Development Program
that was recently approved by City Council.
