BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Engineering Agreement dated January 25, 2010, at a cost not to exceed $40, 000 . 00, for design and acquisition services of snow removal equipment and de-icing equipment at the Waterloo Regional Airpot, by and between AECOM of Waterloo, Iowa and the City of Waterloo, Iowa, be and the same is hereby approved, and the Mayor authorized to execute the same in behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa. Clark, Mayor ATTEST: C-17-1.> Suzy h�res, CMC City Clerk WATERLOO CRUISE A NEW ALTITUDE January 19, 2010 TO: City Council Mayor Clark Michelle Weidner, CFO Suzy Schares, City Clerk FROM: Bradley Hagen,Airport Director fot RE: Approval of Engineering Agreement Snow Removal Equipment(SRE)/De-Icing Vehicle Waterloo Regional Airport City of Waterloo, Iowa FAA AIP Project No. 3-19-0094-37 Enclosed is a contract between City of Waterloo, through Waterloo Regional Airport, and AECOM, of Waterloo, Iowa in the amount of $40,000 for Design and Acquisition Services of a Snow Removal Equipment and De-icing equipment at Waterloo Regional Airport. FAA has worked with Airport staff to negotiate and ensure the required services are competitive to complete the scope of services. AECOM is our engineer of record. The Airport bid engineering services in September 2008 for a 5-year period. The scope of services required and detailed cost summary is enclosed. The funding for this agreement is from a FAA grant (95%) and our Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) program(5%). FAA has asked us to proceed with this contract. We do not yet have a grant in hand to fund this proposed agreement. As with every engineering contract every year for FAA projects, we execute the contract and receive a grant later in the year to fund both the engineering and construction/acquisition portions of the work. FAA includes both engineering and construction/acquisition in one grant and won't issue a grant until we receive bids on the construction later in the spring.
