COLE five (5) structures located in the City of Waterloo,Iowa:

1. Bid must be SIGNED and bear the official title of the person signing.
BOB GREENWOOD 2. Bidders must be prepared to proceed as soon as possible, time is of the
At-Large essence.

4. Sufficient time should be allowed for mailed bids to be delivered by normal postal
operation. Late bids will not be considered. Bids must be received by 3:30 p.m.,
October 17,2005,in the City Clerk's office. Bids will be opened at the City Council
regular meeting at 5:30 p.m.
5. Asbestos abatement shall be completed within Ten (10) working days of Notice to
Proceed(NTP).
TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE and default requirements will be strictly adhered to. Failure to
complete the project as set forth herein, shall constitute a material default and the City may
immediately hire another contractor to complete work and deduct any costs associated from
the original contract price associated with the contract substitution. Execution of this
Contract requires flexibility and the ability to perform under extraordinary conditions.
6. Your bid proposal shall include spaces for authorized signature(s) of the City's
reprsentative, to be signed if the lowest responsible bid. Submit proposals in
duplicate.Bids to be awarded at the City Council Meeting October 17,2005.
7. Enclosed is a list of asbestos items for each property. Remove only areas
indicated on the report as having asbestos in the structure.
Please pay attention to the Asbestos Inspection Report's Notes & Recommendations. Your bid
estimate should include the cost of having a Supervisory Level person either on site or available
upon short notice during the demolition process at 103-107 E.7th Street.
Proposals should include(1) OSHA required personal and excursion air monitoring,(2) clearance
air sample, and (3) work performed in accordance with EPA-EHERA, NESHAP, Iowa DNR
and Iowa DNR regulations.
