RESOLUTION NO. 2008-636 RESOLUTION APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH GILMORE AND DOYLE MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL CONSULTING ENGINEERS AND DIRECTING EXECUTION OF SAID AGREEMENT BY MAYOR. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Professional Services Agreement dated July 28, 2008, at a cost not to exceed $39, 200 . 00, to prepare plans and specifications for The Waterloo Center For The Arts Air Conditioning Phase I and Phase II upgrade, by and between Gilmore and Doyle Mechanical and Electrical Consulting Engineers of Waterloo, Iowa, and the City of Waterloo, Iowa, be and the same is hereby approved, and the Mayor authorized to execute the same in behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa. RE: ART CENTER HVAC UPGRADE —WEST END scumaT ward CAROLYN In May of this year Building and Grounds approved moving forward with the con upgrade of the HVAC system in the west wing of the Art Center (the Martin Theater Ward 2 wing). HART Ward 4 The Martin Theater presently has a 20-ton split-system unit that has one compressor dead and the other on its last leg. The system is the age of the RON building—about 40 years old. The split-system cooling the Schoitz Room is the age WE-LBER Ward 5 of the building, and the compressor has been changed three (3) times in the unit over the past eight (8) years. BOB GREENWOODLr- The chiller system that will be designed will use chilled water coils like the east At-L LPN wing. STEVE SCHMITT I'm requesting Council's approval with authorization for the Mayor's signature on the It-Large attached P.S.A. with Gilmor and Doyle for the design of the HVAC upgrade to the west wing of the Center for the Arts.
