Ward 4 The addition of 205 Walnut Street to the list of homes to be immediately demolished
RON under this contract resulted in the Iowa Department of Natural Resources requiring
WELPER Asbestos Abatement that includes removal of asbestos at 205 Walnut Street and 415 Pine

GREENWOOD Accordingly, staff is seeking competitive bids from at least three (3) qualified firms for
At-Large the removal of asbestos at 205 Walnut St. and 415 Pine St. It is estimated that the cost of
ERIC removal should not exceed $10,000. Western Home has agreed to reimburse the City of
GUNDERSON Waterloo for their share of this cost.
At-Large
After receipt of bids, staff will present a letter of recommendation and bid tabulation to
the Finance Committee for approval to award on October 17, 2005 and proceed with
asbestos removal.
